"As my sister has recently started collecting vintage china tea sets, I wanted to get her something very special for her birthday. The only item she didn't have was a tiered cake stand so I made it my mission to find one that would remind her of the many lovely afternoon teas we have had!
Unfortunately, the particular design she has been collecting do not have cake stands and I couldn't find one I liked, despite hours spent on the internet searching! I had emailed cake-standanddeliver to see if they had another design that I thought would be appropriate and Jane emailed me back to say that they didn't but if I found plates I liked, then she would drill holes in them to make a bespoke cake stand. I managed to track down 3 plates of the vintage design my sister has been collecting and got them sent straight to Jane to avoid extra delivery charges and received the plates and fitting several days later.
I am absolutely delighted with the cake stand and can't wait to see my sister's face when she opens this unique gift.
